Help and Support

Please feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss any concerns regarding your child. In our school foyer, you will find a wealth of material via QR codes and paper leaflets. An overview from the Growing Up in North Yorkshire survey and supportive signposts can be read below.

Further resources can be accessed via the CAMHS website. You will find a collection of books and websites that provide information and support to young people and their families. Most of the sites are free, though some have paid components to them.

At Killinghall CE Primary School, the physical and emotional welfare of our children is considered essential to ensure that learning can take place. Our dedicated Pastoral Team are committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of all our children.

Our whole team offers emotional support to all children and families. We pride ourselves on building positive relationships.  Children can come and talk to any member of staff to discuss issues they may be experiencing.

Our Pastoral Leader works closely with the leadership team, which includes our SEND coordinators, attendance manager and safeguarding leaders. They also welcome the support of external agencies so that we can identify areas of support for both child and parent/carer, and offer specific interventions such as growth mindset and nurture groups dependant on the needs of the child.

Pastoral Support Team

All staff contribute to the pastoral care of our pupils, but Miss Anderson and Mr Turner-Smithson form the core of our pastoral team, leading and coordinating support for pupils.
